Week of 24th-28th October 2016

Last week in unit of inquiry students discussed the research they did through a gallery walk. A brainstorming was done on various civilizations on the following aspects:
- lifestyle
- religion
- artefacts
- strucrures
- culture (food, clothes, occupation, governance, importance of death/burial)
- structure of society
This was done so that students have a good understanding of different civilizations.
Students did their formative assessments on the first line of inquiry- Different ancient civilasations and their development.
Students also went for a field trip to the State Archaeological Museum.

In mathematics, students were taught operations with exponents (positive and negative numbers).
Students also inquired into the cardinal directions and boundaries of any three civilisations of their choice.

In English students inquired into the features of a script through a myth. Students were given various myths like- King Midas and the Golden Touch and Helen of Troy. Students acted out the script and understood purpose of italics and brackets in a script.
